Here at Cotswold Private GP we are expanding the care we offer and are delighted to welcome Dr Amjad Uppal, Consultant Psychiatrist, to our team.
Dr Uppal brings more than 15 years of consultant experience and a clinical leadership record that includes serving as Medical Director of Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, a recognition of his contribution to the profession. For patients, this brings the reassurance of care from a specialist experienced in both treating individuals and leading clinical services.
Having completed his psychiatric training locally, Dr Uppal has worked with patients across Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. His expertise covers anxiety, depression, OCD and PTSD, alongside complex and enduring mental illnesses, including bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
His arrival gives adults across Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds a local, private route to consultant-led mental health assessment, treatment and support, without waiting for an NHS appointment. It is a welcome addition to our commitment to personalised, compassionate care.
