SERVICES WE DO NOT OFFER

While we offer personalised, prompt, and thorough medical care, Cotswold Private GP is not a substitute for emergency or specialist NHS services. For your safety and clarity, here’s a list of services we do not provide:

1. Medical Emergencies

We do not manage:

·       Life-threatening conditions (e.g. chest pain, severe breathing difficulties, stroke, major trauma)

·       Suspected heart attacks or strokes

·       Severe bleeding or unconsciousness

👉 Call 999 or attend A&E immediately for any urgent, life-threatening issues.

2. 24/7 Emergency Cover

We do not provide:

·       Out-of-hours emergency visits

·       24-hour phone triage or monitoring

·       Overnight or weekend emergency home care

3. Specialist Hospital Services

We do not offer:

·       Surgery or hospital admissions

·       Oncology/chemotherapy

·       Ongoing management of complex specialist conditions (e.g., advanced cancer, severe autoimmune disease)

4. Maternity and Labour Care

We do not provide:

·       Antenatal scanning (ultrasounds)

·       Labour and delivery care

·       Midwife-led care or home births

5. Prescriptions for Controlled Drugs

We do not routinely prescribe:

·       Controlled drugs (e.g., strong opioids, benzodiazepines)

·       Medication for addiction (e.g., methadone)

·       Long-term pain management requiring specialist oversight

6. Mental Health Crisis Care

While we can support mental health, we do not provide:

·       Emergency psychiatric assessments

·       Crisis intervention for suicidal ideation

·       Inpatient mental health services

7. NHS Services and Referrals

We are a private service, so we do not:

·       Refer directly into NHS waiting lists (unless accepted under shared care)

·       Access your NHS records unless shared by you

·       Provide free prescriptions, NHS sick notes (except private equivalent), or NHS screening invites
